How I work

The screen before the code, because it is the cheapest change

A business owner will not read a 40-page spec, but will click a screen and say: this is not how we do it. That remark in week one saves weeks of rework after delivery.

  1. 30 to 45 minutes

    A short discovery call

We talk about how you work today and where time or money leaks. I come out with a written scope, and I tell you plainly if what you need does not call for a system at all.

  2. Within days

An interactive prototype before any code

You get clickable screens to explore and change until they match your work. Approving that prototype is the first milestone.

  3. Weekly phases

    Building in priced phases

Each phase has a clear deliverable you see running on a preview link before the next payment. Anything outside the scope is priced before it is built, not after.

  4. Full ownership

Handover with accounts in your name

Hosting, database, WhatsApp and AI accounts are all in your company’s name. You receive the code, the documentation and training for your team.

  5. Ongoing support

    Follow-up after launch

I fix what surfaces in real use during the follow-up period, then we agree on monthly support or a new phase if you need one.

      How I protect your project

Six rules I keep on every project

Not general promises. Each rule here came from a real moment in a project you can find in the portfolio.

      • Accounts in your name from day one

Hosting, database and WhatsApp are opened in your company’s name and I am added as a member. I never ask for a password, and your system is never held hostage by a developer.

      • Code calculates, the model writes

Any number you will pay or decide on is computed by code. In the MyHome quotations AI writes only the descriptions; the quantities are calculated in software.

      • Human confirmation before any action

The assistant sees only what the user’s permissions allow, and every data-changing tool shows a confirmation card first. That is how the Lexa AI assistant works.

      • Measure before you claim

On the VDS site the first speed fix passed every check and broke the live header. Since then I verify in pixels, never just because a command said “success”.

      • A test for every critical rule

The Cube Line procurement system started with zero tests and reached 1,733 with no failures. In the nonprofit system a test blocks a silent timezone bug that would have stamped every record three hours off.

      • Roll back with one file

On live systems I ship changes so that undoing any of them means deleting one file, and nothing is written to your data without your explicit decision.

      Saudi Arabia & the Gulf

Most of my current work is for Saudi companies

I work on Riyadh time and in your language: meetings in Arabic during your working hours, daily contact on WhatsApp, and a time difference of one hour or none. The systems themselves are built for how the local market works.

      • Real Arabic, not translation

RTL, the Hijri calendar, Arabic terminology and correctly shaped Arabic PDFs.

      • SDAIA disclosure

Virtual characters carry a clear badge on every surface.

      • Cloud billing in Saudi Arabia

I know the limits on Google Cloud accounts with a Saudi address and choose the right stack up front.

      • WhatsApp first

The channel your customers actually use, connected officially and protected from bans.

      Who builds it

I am Khalid Bakhit, and the person writing the code is the one talking to you

A full-stack developer working on systems from the database to the screen. My everyday tools: Next.js · TypeScript · Firebase · Supabase · Laravel · WhatsApp Cloud API , plus AI models from more than one provider.

My focus is software-led growth: systems that organise and measure a company’s daily work, from the platform itself to sales and content tools. I handle every project myself from the first call to handover.

      FAQ

What clients ask before we start

How do we work together if my company is in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf?

Easily. Most of my current work is with Saudi companies: a procurement system for a Jeddah supplies firm, a back office and talking assistant for a Saudi nonprofit, a stock-count app for a two-branch restaurant and a website for a Riyadh design studio. Meetings run on Google Meet or Zoom during your working hours, daily contact happens on WhatsApp, and the time difference with Riyadh is one hour or none depending on the season.

Do you start coding right after we agree?

No. I start with an interactive prototype you click through before any code, and we change it until it matches how you work. Changing a screen costs far less than changing a built system, and the first milestone is approving that prototype.

Who owns the code and the accounts?

You do. Hosting, database, AI and WhatsApp accounts are opened in your company’s name and I am added as a member; I never ask for any account password. At handover you get the code with documentation on how the system works and how to deploy it.

How much does a platform or system cost?

It depends on the number of modules and integrations. After a short discovery call I send a written scope split into phases, each with a price, a duration and a clear deliverable, and payment follows each delivered phase. Anything outside the scope is priced before it is built.

My company is registered in Saudi Arabia. Does that affect the technology?

Yes, on one important point: Google Cloud and Firebase billing accounts with a Saudi address go through the local reseller and cannot be opened self-serve with a card. For that case I choose a stack such as Supabase and Vercel, or any host that suits you in your name, and I state it in the proposal before we start.

I have an existing system built by another developer. Will you take it over?

Yes. I took over a live Laravel system for a Saudi nonprofit and extended it over 667 commits without a day of downtime, and took over a live WordPress site and shipped 55 of 58 tasks on it. I start by reviewing the code and tell you what I found before changing anything.

      What happens after delivery?

You receive the system with documentation and training for your team, plus a follow-up period to fix anything that surfaces in real use. After that we can agree on monthly support or new development phases as you need.

Is AI safe with my company’s data?

I build it on three rules: the assistant only sees what the user’s permissions allow, code calculates the numbers rather than the model, and any action that changes data waits for human confirmation. The AI provider account is in your company’s name.
