An assistant that only chats is easy. The hard part is one that acts in a real system without exceeding the user’s permissions or inventing a number. That is what I build: the model picks the tool, the code verifies, executes and calculates, and a human confirms before any change. In Lexa AI every data-changing tool waits for the lawyer’s approval; in the nonprofit system the assistant only sees the tools the user is allowed to use.

What is the difference between a chatbot and an AI agent?
A chatbot answers questions. An AI agent performs real tasks inside your system, such as creating a hearing or updating a price, through defined tools, under the user's permissions and after confirmation. That is how the Lexa AI assistant works.
How do you stop AI getting numbers wrong?
I never let it calculate. Code does the maths and the model only presents the result; any action that changes data goes through a confirmation card. In knowledge bases it answers only from a nearby approved source.
Which AI model do you use?
It depends: Gemini on Vertex AI, OpenAI or Anthropic. I build a layer that lets you switch later, and the account is in your company’s name.
